The nicely ornamented covers is sewed of cotton fabric qhile the mat is filled with kapok. The rolled up mat is about 30cm in diameter.kapok (malay) also know as plant down feather is the fibre of the kapok-tree (ceiba pentandra). It is made of the 1,5 - 4cm long fibers of the fruits of this tropical tree. The fibers have a thin wax layer which on one hand makes them impossible to spin but on the other makes them suitable for the usage of fillings because they are not wettable. They are often used for the filling of mattresses.
