Beautiful Thai mat cotton with kapok filling. Kapok , even down plants, is the fiber of the kapok tree (Ceiba pentandra).It comes from the 1.5 to 4 cm long fibers of fruits in the tropics of the growing tree. The fibers have a thin wax coating, on the one hand the effect that they are not to spinnbar, on the other hand has the advantage that the hairs are not wettable.
